Pisak
Originally Pisak was a nest of the fishermen and farmers and today it is a tourist place with special charm. The small Pisak port was for centuries excellent protection for the sailors and fishermen in their escape from the "big sea". On the reef above the compact old village houses there was built a miniature church of St. Marko in the distant year 1569. Not far from Pisak at the bottom of the sea, in the depth of 24 m there is the strongest spring of fresh water in the Mediterranean. Vrulja (as per old Croatian "vrutak. vrilo" = spring) is a natural phenomenon, a challenge for the scientists and the eternal magnet to , fishermen and tourists. The water from Vrulja flows under Pisak, so it explains the extremely clear and transparent seawater at the local beaches.
