The old village Stanici is 300 m far from the sea. It is a small village with only about twenty old stane houses. The old inhabitants of Stanici were dealing with fishery, and less with agriculture. Upon construction of the Adriatic highway and fast growing of tourism the most inhabitants of the old village have moved to the new settlement built by the seaside, on the pebble beach, in the bar known as long Bay (Velika luka). Nowadays Stanici, because of its wonderfullong beach, crystal clean sea and kind hosts, is among the popular tourist destinations in central Dalmatia.
